Abu Dhabi Police announced that a specialized office will be opened at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (IHEE) 2012, in order to issue Criminal Status Certificate “Good Conduct and Behavior Certificate” for Nationals wishing to purchase and license weapons.
Captain Sultan Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Head of fingerprints section at the Forensic Evidence Department in Abu Dhabi Police noted that the issuance of certificates takes about 15 minutes. He added that the office is equipped with computers connected to the criminal justice system at the Ministry of Interior and to the fingerprint section at the Emirates Identity Authority; as issuing a certificate requires an identity card.
