The Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs Department in Al Ain gathered the photographs taken by autistic children, in an exhibition organized in cooperation with the Emirates Autism Society. The Exhibition comes under the theme “Our Story”, in celebration of World Autism Awareness Day.

Colonel Khalifa Matar Balquba' Al Humairi, Director of the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department in Al Ain, expressed his gratitude to the Emirates Autism Society, for their excellent efforts in raising the awareness of society and the families of the children regarding autism. He also thanked them for their work to rehabilitate those with autism, develop their skills, and help them to positively integrate into society.

Colonel Khalifa Matar Balquba' Al Humairi, Director of the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department in Al Ain, along with the attendees, viewed the exhibited items, and were briefed by Dr. Khowla Al Saeedi, Chairperson of the Emirates Autism Society, on “Our Story” exhibition. “It is an activity to celebrate life with autistic children in the UAE, to show the photographs and creativity of citizen and resident children of various nationalities in the UAE.” she said.

“Our Story” exhibition is an invitation to members of society to understand the condition of those with autism, and put more efforts to participate in their enablement and integration into society. It also sends messages to the public and provides information and facts on autism in general. The exhibition included an activity to color cubes which represents the support of visitors and members of society in adding color to the life of those with autism and supporting them.

The exhibition was attended by Colonel Mohammed Al Nabhani, Deputy Director of the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department in Al Ain; Mr. Salem Al Hosani, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Autism Society; section heads; branch managers, and a number of officers.
