A driver of "recovery " died in a collision between three vehicles, while 6 people were slightly injured in another collision between four vehicles on the airport road.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdullah yousif al-Suwaidi, deputy director of the Department of Traffic in the external areas of Abu Dhabi Police traffic and Patrols Directorate, said that preliminary investigations attributed the reasons for both accidents to busy road while driving and not leaving enough distance between vehicles.

Al-Suwaidi demanded that there should be no gathering in the places of accidents that would be dangerous for their lives, and that the gathering of individuals around the incidents was considered uncivilized behavior that could hinder the efforts of rescue teams, occupy them from the performance of their basic tasks, and obstruct the arrival of ambulances to the scene.
He called for ambulances and rescue vehicles to be allowed to reach the scene and to carry out their tasks expeditiously.
