New customer service center inaugurated at ADP Purchases Department
In a qualitative leap in the delivery of electronic services to the customers, Abu Dhabi Police inaugurated a customer services center at the Purchases and Warehouses Department. The project includes electronic linking via SMS for registering purchases orders and companies, fixing appointments for customer to check the department, and following up the process of transactions. The said center receives and answers 100 calls per minute and gets the transactions accomplished in five minutes.
Major Gen. Staff Obaid Al Heri Al Kutbi, Deputy General Commander of Abu Dhabi Police accompanied by Major Gen. Dawood Khalil Badran, Director General of Finance and Services inaugurated the new customer services center.
Major Gen. Al Kutbi believed that this center represents a qualitative leap in the management and dealing with technology, in accordance with the finest international practices in this respect, adding that the work environment and facilities in the center contribute to the enhancement of this atmosphere in such a way that could reflect positively in the quality of services provided by the center for the members of the public.
Time factor, he said, is a significant indication for the development of nations, and this is evident as the new center will help save a lot of time. He added that the approach of modern work and the concept behind the center in the assessment of the employee’s work will greatly assist in the accomplishment of all that is required by the public.
For his part Major Gen. Badran said: opening this center today represents another addition to Abu Dhabi Police, and this project, he added, is one of the essential elements and a clear indication towards excellence in government performance.
Urging for quick accomplishment of the transactions at the center, he said the customer will get satisfied about the distinguished services which help save time and effort, besides the good level of services the center will provide for other departments. Major Gen. Badran said the center has an advanced switchboard that is capable to receive hundred calls in one minute and answers them in a voice message until the calls are taken by the specific employee. He indicated that such a service could be applied at All Abu Dhabi Police departments.
Brig. Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi, Director of Purchases and Warehouses Department detailed the mechanism of work at the center and said: one transaction could be completed in five minutes; otherwise it will be electronically transferred from the concerned employee to the branch manager, and then to the section’s manger until it is finally accomplished. He indicated that the services in terms of quality and quantity are designed according to the finest international standards to achieve the customers’ satisfaction while completing their transactions.
