Al Ain Community police discusses community issues
The Community Police Branch of Al Ain Police Directorate made field visits to a number of houses, social facilities, dignitaries and nationals in Al Ain, in coincidence with the 26th GCC Traffic Week which is organized this year under the theme "Beware Others Mistakes". They have discussed during these visits social issues. The visits included a number of public and private institutions, Al Ain Community Clubs and victims of traffic accidents in hospitals.
Mr. Hiyab bin Mattar Al Kitbi at Shaabiah Al Khaleif in Al Ain has received a police delegation headed by Major Mubarak Al Saboosi, Director of Al Jimmie Police Station. The delegation comprises also Captain Hamad Khalfan Al Kitbi, Director of Investigation Branch, 1st Lt. Mohammad Nasser Al Kitbi, Director of Traffic Branch, Lt. Hamad Al Dhahri, and Director of Community Police Branch at Al Jimmie Police Station.
Hiyab Al Kitbi has confirmed during the meeting that UAE is the most secured and stabilized country in the world. Nationals' houses remain open day and night because we feel very secured. He has urged the nationals and residents to cooperate with police and security men. A security is the responsibility of all; therefore, all community segments shall join efforts.
Al Saboosi has indicated that ADP strategy is to gain the public and customers satisfaction through direct meetings and visits to residential neighborhoods to solve people problems.
1st Lt. Mohammad Nasser Al Kitbi, Director of Traffic Branch at Al Jimmie Police Station says the aim of fines is not to collect money, because we are a rich country, but to deter offenders and prevent them from involving in traffic accidents and violations. Deployment of traffic patrols has assisted in reducing accidents rates.
Lt. Hamad Al Dhahri, Director of Community Police Branch says the foot policemen are Community Police elements where by their visits to residential neighborhoods have contributed to crime reduction.
Community Police Branch at Al Waqan Police Station has visited the house of Salim bin Ali Al Darie, ex - Director of Al Quu Municipality. 1st Lt. Humaid Al Darie, Director of Community Police Branch, 1st Lt. Mohammad Obeid al Shamsi, Director of Investigation Branch at Al Waqan Police Station, 1st Lt. Jumaa Al Azizi, Investigating officer at Al Ain Traffic Section and a number of police elements participated in the visit.
1st Lt. Humaid Al Darie confirms that this visit is in response to ADP strategy calling for interaction and communication with community segments.
Salim Al Darie has thanked ADP for its efforts in maintaining security and stability. He has appreciated the government efforts in Al Ain – Al Waqan road maintenance. The visiting delegation has focused on the importance of Traffic Week in spreading traffic awareness among community members.
The delegation has ascribed the increase in traffic accidents to human mistakes due to lack of traffic awareness specially among young men.. They have also discussed a number of negative phenomena such as juvenile delinquency, harassments in markets and shopping centers and other social issues.
The Community Police Affairs Section staff at Al Ain Police Directorate has paid a visit to traffic accidents victims in hospitals. They have given those flowers and gifts.
