The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police honored a social worker who received a Master's degree with distinction from the University of Sharjah which considered the thesis to be the first academic achievement of its kind at the local and regional levels, using the scientific method in the application.

 Titled (the reality of community policing in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi "field study"), the thesis support the Ministry of the Interior's strategy to strengthen community partnership between the police and the community.

Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, met in his office, lately , an  academic delegation from the University of Sharjah headed by Prof. Dr. Samy  Abdul Hamid Mahmoud,  director of the University of Sharjah, Dr. Ahmed Falah Amoush, Professor of Applied Sociology and Criminology , Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences (supervisor of the thesis ), and Dr. Hussein Al-Othman, head of the Department of Sociology.

Major General Al Nuaimi has honored student Huda Mohammed Atef in the presence of academics and a number of officers and congratulated her for the outstanding achievement.

She handed him a copy of the thesis and briefed him on its goals.
 
Major General Al Nuaimi said that the police are keen to support those who obtain degrees that improve the quality of life in the society and strengthen the preventive measures.
 
For his part, director of the University of Sharjah has praised  the attention of the Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and his keen interest to  support the talented holders of higher certificates , stressing the close cooperation between the University of Sharjah and the social and security institutions in the UAE.

Professor Amoush commended the idea of establishing community policing in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and publishing it throughout the country, noting that it has become a model to be followed in Arab region, and an experience in the field of community and security application in terms of contributing to the prevention and control of crime, and building a spirit of community partnership.

In conclusion, the Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and the Director of the University of Sharjah have exchanged souvenirs.
