A delegation from the Security Inspection Department (k9) has earlier paid a visit to the police in South Korea, to learn about the procedures of security inspection including police dogs, and training programs applicable there.

According to Lt. Colonel Hashem Al Sayyied Al Hashemi, deputy director of the Department and head of the delegation, the visit invitation came from Korean police to show training methods and state- of- the- art technologies used in areas of inspection and security areas in general.

The delegation toured the different police departments in Korean Capital, Seoul, and was briefed on the types and methods of inspection and police dog related training. The delegation also watched dogs search procedures at shopping malls, horses’ race tracks and in the metro, as well as search procedures in open areas which require special work mechanisms.

An agreement was reached between the Abu Dhabi Police delegation and the Korean police officials on cooperation in issues including training and expertise sharing, pointed out Al Hashemi. The two sides exchanged Trophies.
