The Police College Director’s Football cup recently kicked off at the Police College’s sports range with the participation of four teams representing the college’s various departments.

Major Mohammed Butti Al Shamesi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the championship, praised the high level of organization and preparation for the mini-tournament, the role of those in charge of implementing and administrating it, and the cooperation between the participating teams. He also conveyed the greetings of the police leadership and their good wishes for everyone’s success by creating fair competition among all of the participants in the tournament.

The two teams that marked the beginning of the football tournament were the Director General’s Office team and the Administration and Financial Affairs team, where they tied 0-0. The second match was between the Training Management team A and the Training Management team B, where team A won 3-0.

At the end of the tournament, the team with the highest score will win first place honors and the highest scorer of the tournament will also win honors.

This Ramadan tournament comes in line with the strategic objectives of the Relations and Guidance Department at the Police College and is organized by the department in cooperation with the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department and the Sports Activity Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Department in the Ministry of Interior. The tournament was organized to enhance and strengthen relations among the employees of the Police College and to encourage fair competition in an atmosphere of worship and faith during the holy month of Ramadan.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of officers including department heads, chiefs of sections, and a number of officers from the Police College departments.
