The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ hosted the INTERPOL Committee meetings that aim to improve work and techniques related to forensic evidence globally. The meetings will continue for three days.
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior reasserted the UAE’s commitment to cooperate with different international organizations, exchange criminal data, and benefit from expertise in other countries.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Director of the Forensics Evidence Department, mentioned that the Committee was formed upon the decision of the INTERPOL's forensic Directors in their meeting in Portugal last year. They agreed during that meeting that the Abu Dhabi Police will host the committee’s meetings.
He pointed out that the committee will report the results of these meetings to directors of Criminal Evidence in INTERPOL in the meeting that will be held in Leon, France later this year.
