Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 24 officers, non-commissioned officers, social workers, psychologists, and individuals after completing a specialized course on dealing with juvenile inmates. The course was organized by the Al Mafraq Juveniles Care Center in Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Training Department.
The course comes in line with the specialized training initiative to qualify individuals who deal with juvenile inmates according to international standards.
Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Abdullah Al Kharaz, Acting Director of the Al Mafraq Juveniles Care Center, attended the graduation ceremony. Moreover, he expressed his thanks to the Center’s supervising committee and to all those who contributed to the success of the course.
In his address on the occasion, Al Karraz emphasized that training is an essential element to advance police work, enhance the human cadres’ efficiency , and provide them with the necessary sciences and knowledge to keep up with the rapid changes that are taking place in our time.
He also added that the course focused on the various practical and educational procedures related to dealing with juvenile inmates. The courses also focused on the juveniles’ rights, as per international laws and legislations; the role of educational institutions in achieving family stability for juveniles; and the rehabilitation programs for juvenile inmates at the center.
At the end of the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Kharaz distributed certificates to the graduates.
