Abu Dhabi Police concluded the 9th Ramadan Tournament in football and other related games under the title “World Cup for Workers". The tournament, which falls in line with the UAE’s attention to immigrant workers, was held at the ICAD Residential City, in the interest of activating the community role between police and community members.

In his speech at the closing ceremony, Major Saeed Salim Al Rashidi, Director of Operations Affairs at the Musaffah Police Station, stressed the keenness of Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters, as represented by the Directorate of Peripheral Areas and Community Police Department, to promote communication and cooperation between the police and community members. "This cooperation is in pursuance of the ADP strategy, which is based on spreading the security culture and unifying efforts to establishing security and stability for all community segments," he added.

He then thanked all entities who contributed efforts to organize the tournament, namely; the ICAD Residential City and Emirates Steel, the tournament's sponsor. “A total of 16 teams participated in the football competition, eight teams in the volleyball competition and 12 teams in the basketball competition,” he added.

The audience attended the final football match between the two qualifying teams; then, the top ranking three teams in each competition received their trophies. Referees and officials of resident companies at the ICAD Residential City were also honored by the Ministry of Labor during the ceremony.

Towards the end of the ceremony, partners exchanged commemorative shields in the presence of Captain Ali Salem Al Sai’ari, Head of Partnerships and Awareness Team; Juma Saeed Al Kaabi, CEO of the ICAD Residential City; Abudul Aziz Al Amiri, Head of Public Relations in Emirates Steel; and a number of officials.
