The Police Academy celebrated today morning (Thursday) the graduation of trainees of 4 specialized training courses. The courses were organized by the Officers’ Training Institute, and included 41 officers from different departments and general departments of the Ministry of Interior.
The ceremony held in Al Ittihad Hall, Police Academy was attended by Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of the Police Academy, directors of departments, and heads of divisions in the Police Academy and the Officers’ Training Institute. The second Basic Criminal Investigation Course, held over 8 weeks, covered 13 officers. The course aimed to train participants on the fundamentals, principles, duties, responsibilities and tasks associated with the investigation staff, as well as developing the necessary skills needed for executing missions, and knowing the procedures of interrogation and modern effective monitoring.
The other 3 courses held for a week were: Principles of Setting-up a Strategic Plan (first), Mental Planning and Releasing the Innovative Energy, and Creative Thinking in Problem Solving (first), covered 28 officers. The courses aimed at developing the knowledge, capacity and skills of the officers in regards to setting-up and designing strategic plans for fulfilling visions and organizational objectives, mental planning and releasing the individual and collective innovative energy to translate into creative projects, and creative thinking in decision making and solving administrative problems.
