Umm Al Quwain Foreigner Affairs and Residency Directorate General announced that it will receive violators of foreigners’ entry and residency law at its headquarters from December 4, 2012 to February 4, 2013. This is an opportunity for violators to rectify their status and leave the country.
Colonel Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Maala, Director General of Foreigner Affairs and Residency in Umm Al Quwain called on the violators to take advantage of the amnesty deadline. He also urged all segments of society to interact in line with the objectives of the campaign "No to Violators," which has been recently launched by the Ministry of Interior.
He affirmed the importance of the government's initiative according to the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 249/5/119 for 2012. This initiative to provide amnesty represents a good opportunity for violators to voluntarily surrender themselves to the registration centers dedicated for this purpose, which is made available countrywide.
He said that the Directorate General of Foreigners’ Affairs and Residency in Umm Al Quwain allocated competent and experienced staff to receive violators in two shifts allowing for greater ease and speed in completing their papers.
Colonel Al Maala stressed the importance of respecting the laws and regulations of the country. He also urged the concerned individuals to adjust their status legally and take advantage of the upcoming amnesty deadline.
