The specialized committee in charge of post-release care for inmates of Abu Dhabi Police  Punitive and Correctional Institutions, discussed means to enhance work mechanisms and rehabilitation activities provided to inmates.

During his meeting with Colonel Mohammed Saif Matar Al Zaabi, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Establishment in the Al Wathba Center; Brigadier Najem Abdullah Al Hosani, Head of the Abu Dhabi Police Committee and the accompanying delegation, were briefed on the development plans and programs carried out by the Punitive  and Correctional  Institution.

Al Hosani toured the Center and was briefed on the labor market program curricula. He also toured the inmates’ training courses halls; the library; the technical and production workshops; the bricks factory; the license plates factory and the specialized training institute.

For his part, Colonel Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi said: “Significant efforts are being made by the Department to develop and improve rehabilitation programs; with the support and collaboration of our partners. Such efforts are ongoing, and are being complemented by implementing the post-release care program for inmates.”

The meeting was attended by Captain Sultan Mohammed Al Niyadi, Head of Social Rehabilitation Section.
