The Ports and Airports Security team won the Futsal Championship for the third consecutive time. The championship was organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police, and witnessed the participation of 17 departments.
The final match was won by the Ports and Airports Security team against and the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks team with a score of 3-2. The Operations Department team came in third after defeating the Diplomatic and Governmental Entities Protection Department with a score of 4-3.
The championship was organized in the Aishah bint Abi Baker School in Abu Dhabi. The closing ceremony of the championship was organized by Colonel Halif Al Murrar from the Ports Security Department and Major Muhammad Al Falahi, Chief of Sports Activities Section, at the Strategy and Performance Development Department. Major Al Falahi presented the victory cups to the Ports Security team and to the 1st and 2nd runner-ups.
First Lt. Jamal Essa Al Sa’adi, Teams and Championships Branch Manager, explained that the completions lasted for three weeks, and was organized in line with the activities of Sports Activities Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Department. He noted that the championship witnessed fierce competition between the participating teams.
