Abu Dhabi Police managed to rescue a pregnant Emirati woman, who had gone into labor, in a record time of 13 minutes, on Thursday at Al Abyad Petrol Station in Al Gharbia, although the station was 140 kilometers away from the nearest hospital.
Lieutenant Mabkhout Al Kathiri, the Duty Operations Officer of the Main Operations Room at Abu Dhabi Police, and supervisor of this rescue operation, said, “Al Gharbia Operations Room received the report at 2:17 pm yesterday. An air ambulance and two ambulance patrols were immediately dispatched to the scene, along with a forensics team, according to a detailed plan established by participating entities. The pregnant woman was rescued and safely transferred to Al Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi.”
Al Kathiri reiterated that Abu Dhabi Police, through its Operations Department, is keen to make a quick response to all reports, and to send police teams and special patrols to properly address them. He explained that the Operations Department deals accurately and quickly with all the reports and urgent situations, to ensure providing effective services to all components of society.
