Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police honored the team members who supervised the launch of the "5999" SMS project that is intended to serve people with disabilities.
Abu Dhabi Police has earlier launched "5999" service to receive reports from persons with special needs through SMS linked with the Operations Room. The service was launched on at the Abu Dhabi Center for Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs, in coordination Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs.
Through the number (5999), people with disabilities can easily communicate with ADP by sending SMS to Operations Room. Then the Operations Room follows up the report for better services. The aim is to serve members of this category and reassure their families and relatives.
Honoring included Abu Dhabi Police departments of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing, Operations, Information Technology and Telecommunication, Community Police and Security Media.
