The Crisis and Disaster Department at Abu Dhabi Police held its first meeting on Tuesday evening, chaired by Major General Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, Deputy General Commander of Abu Dhabi Police, at the general headquarters and in the presence of all members.
The assembly discussed the agenda and propositions, as well as a number of relevant issues and means to achieve integration plans at the local and national levels and increase readiness. A deputy and rapporteur were also elected at the meeting.
After the meeting, Al Ketbi stated that means for coordination between all parties and sectors were discussed in order to implement the team’s work policy in the upcoming period, as well as the readiness and responsiveness of the other entities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Education Council, and Majed Al Mansouri, Head of Municipal Affairs Department, alongside a number of members.
The Abu Dhabi Executive Council had previously issued resolution n. 19 for 2012 regarding the formation of a Crisis and Disaster Management Team in Abu Dhabi, headed by Major General Obaid Al Ketbi.
