The Higher Command Committee of Punitive and Reformatory Establishments at the Ministry of Interior held its first meeting for 2013, to discuss enhancing and unifying preventive measures from infectious diseases and epidemics at the Punitive and Reformatory Establishments in the State.

The meeting, which was held in the meetings hall at the Police Officers Club of Dubai Police GHQ, was chaired by Brigadier Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, Director General of Punitive Reformatory Establishments, Ministry of Interior.

The meeting tackled a number of topics on the agenda, namely; ways to develop the punitive reformatory work mechanism. It also recommended establishing a committee to study and unify preventive measures from infectious diseases and epidemics at the Punitive Reformatory Establishments throughout the country. The Committee would comprise representatives of the strategic partners from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services Departments from the Ministry of Interior.

The meeting was attended by members of the Higher Command Committee, along with representatives of the Ministry of Interior’s partners.
