The United Arab Emirates hosted a preparation course for search and rescue teams’ arbitrators. The course is organized by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, and will go on until March 7th.

The course is being held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of experts and parties from 20 countries that are concerned with the supervision of Search and Rescue Teams. The course included a day-long practical training course on search and rescue efforts, as well as lectures and standard comparisons addressing classification guidelines and international accreditation standards, , the means to manage classification mentors efficiently, fields of development and lessons learned.

"Having chosen the UAE to organize this important course emphasizes its efficient role in supporting the United Nations and its international organization, in order to enhance the service of humanitarian actions and prepare highly-qualified   Search and Rescue Team arbitrators," said Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Head of the UAE Search and Rescue Team.
