The Ministry of Interior and the GCC Criminal Information Centre to Combat Drugs have discussed enhancing of efforts to fight drugs to protect the societies from their risks.

Major-General Abduljaleel Mahdi, Dubai Police Anti-Narcotics Department and deputy chairman of the Higher anti-narcotics Committee at the Ministry of Interior, met with a delegation from GCC Criminal Information Centre to Combat Drugs.

The two sides have explored the ways and means of information gathering and exchange to make full use of them in confronting drugs traffickers in the gulf region, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.

Present were Lt Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, director general of anti-narcotics department and heads of anti-narcotics sections across the country.

Major General Mahdi presented a souvenir trophy to the visiting delegation.
