The Ministry of Economy provided a financial donation to the Faraj Fund of the Ministry of Interior that is allocated for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments and their families. This comes under the initiative of the Emirati humanitarian work day on the ninth commemoration of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The donation announcement came during a meeting held today at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. The meeting was attended by Colonel Ahmad Saeed Al Badi, Director General of the Faraj Fund; Colonel Dr. Salem Al Yamahi, board member; Adel Ibrahim Al Marzouqi, Director of Financial Resources Department; and Tarek Ahmad Al Marzouqi, Director of Governmental Communication Department at the Ministry of Economy.
The delegation viewed the goals of the fund, the targeted categories, and the working mechanism of the branch committees.
Colonel Al Badi appreciated the initiative of the Ministry of Economy in supporting the various projects of Faraj Fund. He called on the different sectors of society and its organizations to support the Faraj Fund campaign, which he launched during the holy month of Ramadan. The revenues of the campaign will be allocated to the inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments and their families.
