The Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section at the ADP Traffic and Patrols Directorate set up a miniature traffic village to raise traffic awareness among children of the Al Shuaa Kindergarten. This comes in line with the ongoing awareness efforts, carried out in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Education Council and the Al Ain Education Zone.
Major Salah Abdullah Al Humairi, head of the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section indicated that such activities embody the traffic safety strategy in Abu Dhabi Police. This strategy aims to educate all segments of society, so as to promote efforts to protect them from the risks of traffic accidents, and their resulting deaths and injuries.
First Assistant Ahmed Abdo, from the Public Relations branch at the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section, gave a child-oriented lecture, to teach children the importance of being cautious; the need to follow the correct instructions regarding boarding and exiting the school bus, and the appropriate way to sit; as well as the proper way to cross the street at designated areas. The conference also covered other important guidelines to ensure children’s safety.
