Lt. General, H.H Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Dr. Farouq Al Baz, Chairman of the Arabic Language Education Development Committee, on Monday, in his office at the Ministry. The Committee, set up as part of the Arabic Language Charter launched by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
During the meeting, H.H Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged views on several topics with Dr Farouq, pertaining to the scientific research and current modern developments; in presence of Major General Nasser Lakhreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
It is noteworthy that the Arabic Language Education Development Committee, established as part of the Arabic Language Charter initiative, was launched upon the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The initiative embodies His Highness’s commitment to restore the Arabic language’s leading position as the language of science and technology, and to promote dialogue between the various cultures and civilizations, in view of the current language challenges.
