Colonel Muhammad Abdullah Al Nuaimi, director general of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of training with Major General Michael Charlton-Weedy, adviser to the British Cabinet for Emergency Services and chief executive of the Emergency Planning College.
During the meeting at his office in the directorate building with the British official, Colonel Al Nuaimi reviewed the civil defense structure, defined its main responsibilities and duties, and discussed the training needs for next year.
Moreover, he stressed the civil defense role’s importance as a first responder to incidents and called for the need to develop national cadres by providing the best programs and training courses.
In parallel, Major General Michael Charlton-Weedy, accompanied by Lieutenant Hamid Al-Ali toured the Civil Defense Academy building and the Centers Administration and Operations building and viewed the efforts in the areas of labor. Furthermore, the British official received a commemorative shield from the Civil Defense at the end of the tour.
