Rehabilitation of prisoners, humanitarian role of institutions lauded
Major General Saeed Obaid Al Mazroui, Deputy Commander in Chief of the Abu Dhabi Police praised the role played by social institutions and other agencies in assisting the rehabilitation of the inmates of the corrective and punitive center in Abu Dhabi.
While speaking at a ceremony held to honour the agencies and institutions, Al Mazroui said that their jester will help to bring the inmates back to a better social life after the completion of their detention giving them a new lease of life.
The honoured organizations included, general authority of Islamic affairs and Awqaf, Red Crescent authority, Abu Dhabi educational zone, Abu Dhabi education council, Abu Dhabi chamber of commerce and industry, Massod motors, national center for rehabilitation among others. The deputy chief also opened number of facilities at the Al Wathba center for the training and development of the inmates established with the help of these institutions.
The event was also attended by H.E.Mohammed Obaid Al Mazroui deputy director general of the Islamic affairs. Lt.Col. Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi, deputy director of the center and other senior officers and representatives of the honoured organizations.
