The Abu Dhabi Futsal Championship’s inauguration matches ended with a 9-0 thrilling win for the Ports Security Team over the Vehicles Licensing Team. Moreover, the Operations Team defeated the Investigations Team 11-6; the Crisis Team defeated the ICT Team 5-5; and the Capital Police Team won the game over the Western Region Team 7-1.
First Lieutenant Jamal Al Saadi, Director of Sports Teams and Competitions at the Strategy and Performance Development Department inaugurated the Championship that took place in Aisha Bint Abi Bakr School indoor halls with the participation of 12 teams from the various Abu Dhabi Police departments. The tournament will continue until May 19, 2013.
First Lieutenant Al Saadi indicated that the Championship underscores the keenness of the Strategy and Performance Development Department to organize various tournaments and sports competitions to achieve wider participation of all categories of Police members.
