UAE will continue to fight against global terrorism- Sheikh Saif
Security and safety Middle East exhibition and conference opens
Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior has condemned the terrorists attacks in Amman, sating that the terrorists are the enemies of humanity, regardless of their motives and justifications.
Lt.Gen. Sheikh Saif made these remarks at a press conference yesterday after he inaugurated the security and safety Middle East 2005 exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi.
On the exhibition being held in Abu Dhabi Lt.Gen Sheikh Saif said such exhibitions and conferences contributed directly to the consolidation of efforts to combat the menace of terrorism.
The Interior Ministers attending the exhibition and conference would discuss the means of combating terrorism as well as the modalities of cooperation in achieving the goals, he said.
e- Passports for locals soon
He elaborated on the e-government services of the ministry, saying tremendous achievements have been made in the field.-, including the work on the smart electronic national identity card and e-passport for traveling.
The Minister said the new e-passport will be ready at the beginning of next year
The Minister also stated that the police in UAE always considered solving social problems a social priority, since most problems had their origins within them.
