Abu Dhabi Police have taken precautionary measures related to summer vacations which witness massive traffic jams
Head of the department vehicles and driving licenses of Tarif Police Lt.Col.Ahmed Atiq al Hamli, said, nationals and other residents would need to present some official documents in order to pass through the police check points.
The UAE residents, he said, should possess a tourist traveling certificate issued by one of the police traffic departments. As for UAE citizens they need to submit a valid vehicle ownership certificate or an approval to get the vehicle released incase it is placed under mortgage .those driving government vehicles need an approval from the employer.
Al Hamli advised all the travelers to contact the department to obtain their traveling certificate.
