Department of Ports Security Institute at Abu Dhabi Police witnessed the graduation of three courses namely: Etiquette and Protocol, Different Personality Types, Basics of Airports Security. The graduation ceremony took place at the Police Club in Al Ain. The courses lasted for three weeks with the participation of 57 recruit including 8 from Yemen, Lebanon and Egypt.
Lt. Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Acting Director of Ports Security Institute said the strategy of Abu Dhabi Police emphasizes on the human element and its training in order to enable it fulfill its duties efficiently, adding that training is the best way to refine skills and elevate the level of the work that leads to the best police services that ensures peace and safety in the society.
She added: “continuing organizing courses reflects the attention extended by the department to the human element in different areas. These courses contributed in developing the skills of participants and refining their knowledge about how to perform their work in their different fields.”
She congratulated graduates and called upon them to make more efforts in order to elevate police work and enhance the quality witnessed by police services at different departments.
Major Wahida Al Hosani, a trainer officer in the institute noted: “the Etiquette and Protocol course the was concluded last week with the participation of 20 recruits in addition to participants from Yemen and Egypt, aimed at raising the efficiency of graduates and equip them with the ability to organize meetings, seminars and conferences. They were also provided with knowledge on how to deal with VIPs.”
She noted that the Different Personality Types that included 20 recruits –including one from Yemen- focused on introducing trainees to sciences related to personalities and their natural characteristics, in addition to studying the types of personalities and how to deal with each of them, and the application of this knowledge in their work.
She said that the Basics of Airports Security was held in Police officers Club in Al Ain for a week, and 23 recruits participated in it including one from Lebanon and two from Yemen. The course aimed to raise the level of recruits in communications and cooperation with airports authorities, monitoring the movement of people and vehicles in the airport and its premises, in addition to inspection of luggage and passengers.
At the conclusion of course, certificates were distributed on graduates in the presence of a number of officers and officials at the Department of Ports Security Institute.
