Social Support Center Program for Social Counseling

The Social Support Centers Department at Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Social Support Center in Al Ain recently organized, at its headquarters in Falaj Hazza region, its first psychological and social counseling program, for the cases of “Child Visitation”, concerned to enable one of the parents of the child in custody “either the father or mother” to see their child, whether by virtue of a court order or by mutual agreement.

The program aims to identify the various family problems in order to pursue the suitable solutions to protect family entities from disintegration and falling into problems and disputes, thus achieving the message of family stability and security with full protection of privacy and confidentiality.

The program included several activities regarding the provision of consultation to the Center cases by a group of professional social experts and psychologists, and responding to their queries and questions about children's issues and how to deal with them. The program also introduced the art of dealing with the family and marital issues and the role of Social Support Centers in embracing them.

Within the context of the program, familial and social guiding brochures were distributed. At the end of the program, the cases expressed their happiness and satisfaction arising from the idea and objectives of the program, and wished many social events that serve the child and his family together can be organized frequently.
