Public trust in Abu Dhabi Police increase highly- says public opinion survey
 
An opinion survey conducted among public to assess the present status of peoples trust in Abu Dhabi police has found that there has been a good amount of increase in their trust in the Abu Dhabi Police and in their safety and security services provided to the public.
 
The survey was conducted jointly by the Emirates center for strategic studies and the Research and study center of the Abu Dhabi police.
 
The survey was conducted during the period from 7th of May to the 7the of June, 2007.1200 people were asked to answer the questioner made to assess their opinion about various aspects of police and their services. The survey reveled an increase of 19 percent in their trust in police which reached 92.4 percent from than of last year. The people questioned included all the communities living in Abu Dhabi, locals and expatriates.
 
86.2 percent of the people were happy with the dealings of the police ,67.8 percent of the people were happy about the enhanced services provided by various departments of the police ,66.4 percentage were positive about the police attitude to the public .90 percent of the people surveyed were happy with the visibility of Abu Dhabi police in their vicinities.
 
Brigadier Nasser Al Naoumi, Director General of the office of the Minister of Interior said that the result of the survey shows the strategic initiatives implemented under the directives of His Highness Lt.Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior has paid rich dividends.
 
This shows the keenness of the leadership to assure the safety and security of the people and provide them with high quality of services. Besides undertaking the security responsibilities, Brigadier Al Noumi said that the Abu Dhabi police have been implementing various social service activities also. The police have taken lot of initiatives to serve the public in close cooperation with the public and will keep on enhancing the number of services and further improve its quality of service to have further public faith in police, He added.
