New department for Abu Dhabi Police constituted
His highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the minister of interior has issued a Ministerial decree dealing with the reorganising of the strategic and quality activities at the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters.
Decree no. 312 of 2007 calls for the establishment of a new organisational unit, to be known as the Strategy and Performance Development Division, which shall be under the direct control of the General Commander of the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters.
The new division, shall, among other things, work to improve the standard of performance, prepare strategic plans for the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters, follow-up the latter's modernisation process and come up with the principles and standards which all the various divisions must comply with in the preparing of their own strategic plans. The new division shall also follow-up the implementation of the strategic plans, identify obstacles, see to the implementation of the various organisational structures and develop all systems in use at the headquarters.
