National campaign for security awareness begins

Activities of the national campaign for security awareness was inaugurated by Major General Mohammed Khamis Al Junaibi, Deputy Commander in chief of the Abu Dhabi Police.
Yesterday at the marina mall .the programs are being organized by various departments of the Abu Dhabi police in cooperation with other government and non governmental organizations participating in the events.
A road race for various categories of people was also conducted at the Corniche with mass participation. Major General Junaibi said that the theme of this year’s campaign is stable family safe society underlines the keen interest of His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior in protecting the families against crimes.
The welcome speech Brigadier Hasan Al Housani Director of Public relations and Mass media administration said that the campaign is aimed at strengthening the existing bond between the law enforcing agencies, government and other organizations and communities as a whole. The campaign also aims to enhance the security awareness among people and also the importance of family stability in making a secured socity.he added.
The campaign includes road race, competitions, exhibitions, cultural programs, symposiums, special programs for school children and mass media campaigns besides surveys and interviews. He called upon all the segments of the society to join the campaign and make it a grant success to assure the stability of the family and security of the society.
