The Ministry of Interior discussed plans to develop creative thinking tools, as part of a specialized workshop recently held under the auspices of the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, represented by the Complaints and Suggestions Department. The workshop targeted all police sectors and was attended by work teams branch managers and proposals’ coordinators.

The workshop was inaugurated by Major Mohammed Ismail Al Harmoudi, Head of Complaints and Suggestions Department at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development. Major Al Harmoudi welcomed the attendees and noted the importance of building the creative capacities of internal and external staff members, helping them to think in creative ways and finding solutions to problems using advanced creative techniques. Moreover, he stressed the need to provide a supportive environment that encourages creativity.

Afterwards, the attendees were briefed on the methodology and processes of developed creative thinking and the random inputs needed for innovation o ensure continuous development and improvement of the level of services provided and the administrative work systems by submitting creative ideas before and after application. The workshop also highlighted the importance of using creative tools to develop ideas.

Towards the end of the workshop, practical exercises were carried out to acquaint attendees with the means of using creative tools to generate new ideas.
