Women Police shows dazzle ZU women students

Abu Dhabi Police has continued its celebration of the 32nd anniversary of women police, in commemoration of the graduation of first batch of women police in 1978. The show has attracted Zayed University women students. The show started at the inner yard of the university up to the university theatre. The students were dazzled with show and they interacted with it amid tremendous rounds of applause.

The show was attended by Colonel Waleed Salim Al Shamsi, Director of Police Schools Department at ADP, Dr. Suleiman Al Jasim Director of the University and a number of ADP officers and officials. Both sides exchanged commemorative shields before the start of the show.

Colonel Al Shamsi said “The aim of these celebrations is to acquaint the public with the achievements and creativity of Emirati women in the light of our leadership care and support to women. He has reviewed with Dr. Al Jasim the stages of women police academic and scientific development, until it has become the center of attraction for many women”.

Dr. Suleiman Al Jasim lauded the distinguished efforts made by women police elements since the graduation of first batch in 1978, and their keenness to achieve high rates of excellence so as to boost security and safety progress in the country. It is still considered an example of performance and excellence through the work of its members in different policing areas.

“The care that the women police receives derived from the keenness of HH the late President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan (May his soul rest in eternal peace), to support Emirati women in all areas. Due to this Emirati women are now well known at local, regional and global level in all work sectors”, added Dr. Al Jasim.

Dr. Al Jasim lauded HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior’s care and attention he pays to women police and encouraging them to continue their high studies so as to specialize in different fields of police work, and to contribute to maintenance of country’s safety and security.

The students on the other hand expressed their enthusiasm and admiration of the show, especially sports skills, combat arts and performance of sniffer dogs in addition to Emirati and Arab heritage tunes played by the Police Music Band.
