and Excellencies Interior Ministers in GCC states
Lit Colonel Staff H.E Sheikh Rashed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Interior Minister in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E Hmoud bin Faisal Al Bousaiadi, Minister of Interior in the Sultanate of Oman, HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, State Minister of Internal Affairs and member of Council of Ministers in the State of Qatar and Sheikh Ahmed Al Hmoud Al Jaber Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in the State of Kuwait. H.E Dr. Abdul Lateef bin Rashed Al Zayyani, secretary general of the GCC participated in the meeting.
Ministers expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for hosting the meeting and for their hospitality. They also extended thanks to the UAE Ministry of Interior headed by H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and his senior assistants for their efforts in the great preparations for this meeting, which contributed to its success.
Ministers have also congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on his safe return from a treatment trip abroad, wishing him continuous health.
Ministers welcomed the participation of H.E Hmoud bin Faisal Al Bousaiadi, Minister of Interior in the Sultanate of Oman, wishing all the best for his predecessor H.E Saud bin Ibrahim Al Bousaidi.
Ministers also welcomed the participation of H.E Sheikh Ahmed Al Hmoud Al Jaber Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in the State of Kuwait, wishing all the best for his predecessor H.E Sheikh Jaber Al Khalid Al Sabah.
Ministers have welcomed HE Abdul Lateef bin Rashed Al Zayyani for his participation in their meetings after assuming his new position as secretary general of the GCC, praying to Allah Almighty to help him bear the burden of this responsibility, and wishing for his predecessor H.E Abdul Rahman Al Attieyah, all success in his future endeavors.
The Ministers also welcomed the first participation of H.E Colonel Hazza Mubarak Al Hajeri after assuming his new position as assistant secretary general for security affairs, praying to Allah Almighty to help him bear the burden of this responsibility, and wishing for his predecessor H.E Brigadier Hassan Eissa Al Sameem all the best in his future career.
The minister reviewed security cooperation and coordination during the period between their periodical 29th meeting and their 12th consultative meeting in light of the growing security developments regionally and globally, and their impacts on the security and stability of the GCC member states. They expressed satisfaction over the achievements and steps which promote the march of joint security work.
Ministers also welcomed restoration of calm and stability to the Kingdom of Bahrain and underscored wisdom of the leadership as well as backing of the people in support for outstanding national interests in accordance with the common will of the leadership and citizens and under the comprehensive reform program of His Majesty Kin
