Municipal Affairs Dpt. reviews ADP model to excellence
Major General Mohammad bin Al Awadhi Al Minhali, Director general of Human resources and Head of ADP Team of quality and Excellence received yesterday "Monday", a delegation from the Department of Municipal Affairs comprising: Nasser Al Jasmi, Director of Public Relations and Communications Office, Ahmed Al Mazroui, Acting Director of Spatial data Real States, Ahmed Al Amri, Acting Director of Relations and Disputes, Waleed Al Himyari, Head of nationals Complaints Section, Sameera Makrami, Strategic Planning and Performance Specialist and Mohammad Al Marzouqi, Coordinator of Projects Management.
The delegation reviewed ADP journey, experience and implementation mechanisms that had led to getting 4 prizes of Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence during the second round. ADP is keen to exchange knowledge and enhance partnerships in response to Abu Dhabi Government aspirations.
Captain Rashid Ali Al Dossari, Head of Institutional Excellence Secretariat Section at the Department of Strategy and performance Development together with Lt. Sameeha Al Zidjali, Director of Technical Affairs Branch at the Secretariat of Institutional Excellence made a presentation on ADP efforts to gain the award.
They mentioned the process of change since 2003 when the first strategic plan was launched. This was followed by introduction of the organizational structure of ADP GHQ and the Department of Strategy and performance Development. Then the Teams of Quality and Excellence were formed and the programmes of working teams qualification and training in implementation of global standards of quality to promote performance. The delegation also reviewed ADP implementation of institutional excellence standards.
Al Zidjali said "The concept of excellence and its requirements were clear from the outset for ADP. Accordingly ADP started making outlines of its plan to get the excellence award in response to the directives of the police leadership. The plan was implemented according to methodological steps and effective working mechanisms".
The presentation focused on showing ADP GHQ interest in comprehensive development and achievement of our high leadership vision in formulating its constructive initiative on top of which the launch of Abu Dhabi Emirate Strategic Plan expressing solidarity and joint cooperation between the Emirate Departments.
Media Expert Muhi Deen Qasim Ismaeel explained ADP efforts in spreading quality and institutional excellence culture among its personnel. He also mentioned the role of the Quality Magazine in supporting these efforts through researches and studies.
At the end of the visit Major General al Minhali presented a trophy to the visiting delegation. They delegation lauded ADP distinguished performance and affirmed the importance of visits exchange to achieve further cooperation and to make use of different experiences to promote the general system of work.
Nasser Al Jasmi, Head of the Delegation thanked the Working team for their warm welcome and hospitality. He said "Receiving of the award by ADP is the pride of the whole country and a symbol of the sense of security and safety that ADP has succeeded in spreading among community members". He wished ADP GHQ every success.
