The Al Ain Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs Directorate General signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), to coordinate joint efforts between the two sides in order to provide better services to all customers. This comes in line with both the Al Ain Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs and AADC’s strategy to achieve their future aspirations; and would reflect positively on the economic and social levels.
The MoU was signed by Colonel Khalifa Matar Balquba' Al Humairi, Director of the Residency and Foreigners' Affairs Department in Al Ain, and Mohammed Salem Al Shamsi, Director General of Al Ain Distribution Company.
The MoU aims to promote cooperation efforts to achieve both parties’ visions to attain a prominent and leading position in the region, through customer satisfaction and efficient cooperation ties to achieve the mutual strategic objectives. It also aims to promote joint work to enhance operational performance, facilitate procedures and develop customer services. Moreover, the MoU aims to promote joint coordination, in the framework of functional and practical cooperation, to develop the technical and administrative competencies of the human cadres of both institutions, and enhance communication between them to achieve the common interests.
Among its other objectives, the Memorandum of Understanding calls for sharing institutional knowledge, expertise and experience on all common levels, as well as exchanging information and studies related to both sides’ competencies and respective areas of work. It also stipulates developing a mechanism to implement an integrated system of communication between both parties, and to exchange opinion and advice, to support the efforts of modernization and institutional development. It also aims to support creative skills and innovation through joint cooperation, and establish a mechanism of coordination to implement joint projects properly and rapidly.
The Memorandum of Understanding also stipulates strengthening relations and cooperation to improve the quality of services provided by both sides, and to achieve efficient communication between internal and external customers and all concerned entities. Moreover, it stipulates exchanging ideas and information to achieve the common interests; evaluating and developing all services provided to the public by analyzing the outcomes; to achieve greater value for the work and services provided by both sides.
According to the MoU, the two parties will exchange and update data and information, research and studies, statistics and publications in the various joint disciplines, and endeavor to improve and develop common services. This includes developing policies and work mechanisms to be followed by both parties, and adopting mechanisms for prior approvals for all standards and specifications related to the competent joint activities. It also includes holding workshops, scientific conferences and specialized forums and seminars; supporting activities and community-based events through awareness campaigns; sports, social, cultural and artistic activities in Al Ain; and engaging community members in future plans and projects.
Colonel Al Humairi indicated that the MoU signed by the Al Ain Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs General Directorate with Al Ain Distribution Company comes in line with the Naturalization, Residency and Ports’ strategy. As per this strategy, the Directorate seeks to enhance partnerships with Federal and local institutions and agencies, and to achieve the common objectives stemming from a firm belief in joint work and support for serious initiatives that contribute to enhance the quality of services provided to the public.
