MoI Forum confirms the importance of
leaders' role in Monitoring and supporting transparency principle

 

The Forum of Administrative Supervision, Control and Institutional Excellence, has recommended the use of advanced technologies in administrative monitoring, especially in respect of electronic inspection, auditing and technical statistics. It has lauded the controlling role of MoI Inspector General Office, which in line with MoI systems and strategy.

The Form has affirmed the necessity of spreading administrative control culture at different levels, along with activation of leaders' role in control. It has also called for supporting the transparency principle to achieve distinguished performance, affirming the importance of self-criticism, carrying out benchmarking with police forces at advanced countries, in order to view best practices, with a view to improve and develop administrative control system.

The recommendations have requested identification of clear standards for administrative control and matching them with the strategic plan and MoI operations, in accordance with measures and indicators which achieve highest levels of quality and excellence in performance, in addition to the importance training in raising the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative control.

Brigadier Ali Jumaa al Shamsi, Deputy MoI Inspector General, has opened today morning, Wednesday at MoI lecture theatre the works of the Forum, organized by MoI in collaboration with the Police College, Portsmouth University of UK and MoI Inspector general Office.

The opening ceremony was attended by Colonel Saif Ali Al Kitbi, Director general of the Police College, Colonel (Dr.) Mohammad Saeed Al Humeidi, Chairman of MoI Symposiums and Conferences Scientific Committee, Directors General, Directors of Departments and officers of MoI.

Al Shamsi delivered a speech in which he extended the ratings of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and HH's best wishes for the Forum.

He continued his speech by saying "In MoI we are used to organize such scientific gatherings in order to work together for the development of our country. The development which the world witnesses now imposes many challenges on government and non-government institutions all over the world.

"These challenges require us to pay great attention to manpower and provide them with knowledge and behavioral skills to achieve competitive merits. The idea of individual and institutional excellence has achieve widespread during recent years.. It has been proved that excellence cannot be achieved without administrative supervision and control. MoI has organized this Forum to give opportunity to all participating authorities, institutions and individuals to enrich discussions and to view international experiments in administrative supervision and control role in achieving institutional excellence", added Al Shamsi.
