Major General Al Niyadi graduates 67 officers

 

Major General Mattar Salim bin Meseid Al Niyadi, MoI Director General of Electronic Services and Telecommunications, has witnessed this morning (Thursday) the graduation ceremony of 67 officers held at the Union Hall at the Police College. The graduates have attended three training courses: “Institutional Performance Measurement”, “Medium Command Course No. 41” and “First Command Course No. 60”, in the presence of Colonel Saif Ali Al Kitbi, Director General of Police College, Colonel (Dr.) Mohammad Saeed Al Humeidi, Director of Officers Training Institute, Directors of Departments, Heads of Sections and officers from the Police College and Officers Training Institute.

In his speech to the graduates Al Niyadi has affirmed that only human resources provided with education can serve their country. Therefore MoI and in response to our police leadership is committed to preparing the human element which will play a great role in achieving development goals, and to graduating qualified and trained security cadres to keep pace with the developments which the country witnesses in different areas.

Colonel Saif Ali Al Kitbi, Director of the Police College said “Today’s ceremony is in appreciation of the efforts made and to encourage scientific education and knowledge. We all believe in the Police College role in preparing and qualifying MoI officers, and developing their leadership abilities. Implementation of such training programmes will contribute to promotion of our police and security agencies proficiency and effectiveness”.

Colonel (Dr.) Mohammad Saeed Al Humeidi, Director of Officers Training Institute said “The trainees have received academic programmes, in addition to field visits in different areas, which comply with security work developments, with a view to raise standard of performance, to achieve innovation and institutional excellence efficiently”.

“58 officers have participated in the courses number 41 and 60, for 8 weeks, during the period from 19 September to 11 November 2010. Their ranks range between Colonel to captain. They have received administrative knowledge which qualifies them to lead their subordinates with proficiency. They are qualified to occupy higher appointments. 9 officers have attended the one-week Institutional Performance Measurement Course, from 7 to 11 November 2010. They have learned how to solve institutional performance problems, preparing its indicators in accordance with administrative standard, set up goals, time tables and stereotyped rates of performance”, added Al Humeidi.

 

Colonel (Dr.) Abdullah Mohammad Bu Hindi, Director of Higher Studies Department at the Police College and Chairman of Supervising Committee of Scientific Researches said “Officer are always directed to submit modern researches and carry new policing and legal ideas. The researches of the course are distinguished and are lauded by all members of the Committee”.

 

Major (Dr.) Zaid Ahmed Mubarak Al Khamiri, has delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. He has lauded the role of the Institute in providing them with rich academic and training programmes, in different areas.

 

At the end of the ceremony Major General Al Niyadi accompanied by Colonel al Kitbi and Colonel (Dr.) Al Humeidi, gave away certificates to the graduates and lecturers. A commemorative photo was taken on the occasion.
