Friday Prayer Preachers
warn against the dangers of firecrackers

 

Preachers urged community members during Friday Prayer, to cooperate with ADP GHQ campaign against the dangers and risks of firecrackers. The speeches mentioned that the practice takes place during Eid days.

They urged community members to cooperate with MoI which seeks the safety of our communities and children. They affirmed that families should understand these risks and direct their children to stay away from these risks. Families should always monitor what their children buy.

They urged the public to cooperate with the Department of Security Media two campaigns against firecrackers and to campmate with AMAN Service on the toll free number (8002626) or send a SMS to (2828) if they want to report any matter related to safety and security, reassuring them that their call will be confidential.

Studies have revealed that the sparks, light or heat resulting from firecrackers are the main causes of body harm, especially the sensitive area of eyes. Ashes resulting from burning causes damage to skin and eyes if it has direct contact with the child body, which may lead to loss of sight.

Firecrackers are considered of the causes of chemical and physical pollution, each of them is dangerous than the other. The smell resulting from these items lead to many harms, in addition to disastrous consequences of these item are stored in a wrong way.

Playing with firecrackers during Eid days has become a habit for children and teen agers. The loud noise they issues disturb others, especially in crowded places and sleeping children who wake up frightened of these explosions.
