At the end of the First Training Institutions Conference, participants have expressed their utmost apperception to Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior for his honorable patronage e to the works of the conference, referring to the good preparations which had big impact on the conference outcomes

The meeting called for crystallizing a clear vision to enhance efforts of continuous training and education to upgrade the professional and academic levels for human resources. Universities and research centers were also appealed to take interest in conducing scientific research to evaluate training’s outputs, institutions and methods to order to develop and modernize them.

The recommendation called for issuing legislations to organize the work of training institutions and setting approved standards to govern “their infrastructure, approaches and trends” and the certificates they issue.

The conference also recommended the establishment of specialized units to define training requirements at the institutions by adopting scientific approaches to determine the gap in the skills, professional and behavioral capabilities of the individuals.

It also recommended establishing a national training council to develop accreditation standards for training institutions in the UAE, in addition to allocating a specific budget to support scientific research in training and human resources development.  
 
Major-General Staff Khalifa Harib Al Khaili, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior has attended on Tuesday the final day of the First conference of training institutions and honored speakers, lecturer and chairpersons of sessions.
He was accompanied by Colonel Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Hameedi, director of police officers training institute and head of the scientific committee for seminars and conferences at the ministry of interior.

The second and final day of the conference has started with a theme titled “measuring efficiency and quality of training”.  The first session was presided over by Colonel Staff Dr. Ali Salim Al Tunaiji, director of training department at the ministry of interior with Dr Mohammed Al Amin Al Bushra as rapporteur. It included five work papers, the fist one was presented by Colonel Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Hameedi, director of police officers training institute and Dr. Al Hadi Khogali Al Tayyeib, a training expert at the institute. The paper tackled “talents management and investment in training – 21st century”.
 
Dr. Fatima Al Ameri, cultural advisor at the UAE embassy to Egypt presented the second paper “role of cultural attaches in supporting education and training strategy abroad”. The third paper, presented by Fidda Lotah, an Advisor at the office of director general of human resources development, has focused on the “future vision for training in UAE”.
Major Dr. Nasser Al Baker, head of education affairs section, Police College, has covered “training evaluation from a modern perspective”.

The first session concluded with a paper on the “Academy experience in education and training policy, which was presented by Lt Colonel Dr. Sarhan Al Muaini, from the Police Sciences Academy, Sharjah.

The second theme sessions on “future experiences and vision for training program” were presided over by Brigadier Jassem Al Marzouqi, Deputy Director-General of human resources, Abu Dhabi Police, with Dr. Ahmed Abdulmajeed as rapporteur. Five work papers have been presented; the first one on “training efforts in the INTERPOL’S Turkey office” was delivered by Ahmed Earn, director of the INTERPOL’S Police Traini
