The Finance and Services Department team of Abu Dhabi Police achieved sophisticated models for standard contracts on the police leadership level, in order to enhance the developmental efforts to facilitate work procedures, according to the international standards developed in this area, and as an embodiment of the strategic vision.

 Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police hosted an honoring ceremony at Police General Headquarters for the team who led the achievement; for his sincere efforts and dedication in the performance of his functions, by developing a unified and comprehensive system for the various types of contracts used, to attain the best levels of excellence. Major General Badran also stressed the keenness to polarize the best technical methods, in line with the international standards; to achieve accuracy and speedy completion of work processes.

Moreover, Major General Badran emphasized the keen interest and attention of Lt. General, His Highness, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to enable the police sector to attain excellence in its systems, performance and public services; as well as motivate it to launch developmental initiatives that promote a culture of innovation and excellence among all members.

Also on the occasion, Major General Badran urged department directors and heads of branches to exert further efforts in updating Police General Command’s strategic vision in all departments affiliated with the Finance and Services General Department, to keep pace with the development process; achieve the desired excellence and leadership, and maintain the advanced levels attained in this context.

The honoring ceremony Included Colonel Mohammad Ali Shamsuddin, Director of Legal Affairs Department; Captain Dr. Abdullah Khalifa bin yarouf, from the Finance and Services Department; Lieutenant Engineer Hamid Mohammed Al Neyadi; Legal Adviser Jamal Noor Darwish from the Engineering and Project Management Department; Legal Expert Dr. Sabir Omar, from the Procurement and Warehouses Department; Legal Expert Adel Al Tayyeb from the Legal Affairs Department; Financial Expert Hazem Esmat from the Financial Affairs Department and Administrative Assistant Mariam Ismail Al Junaibi from the Legal Affairs Department.

According to a report by the Finance and Services General Department, the Department worked in both financial and services aspects, according to a strategy focusing on several developmental efforts, pursuant to the Police General Command’s strategy, in order to achieve efficiency and quality of services provided to police employees, and the adoption of a scientific approach and advanced initiatives.

Through this approach, a number of objectives were achieved, namely: development of administrative work by introducing sophisticated systems; pursuance of international quality privileges; implementing new concepts to achieve effectiveness of work teams, and the adoption of new concepts of partnership and cooperation with community institutions.


 The Finance and Services Department of Abu Dhabi Police recently conducted a standard comparison for its procurement system with the systems of both Singapore and London Police. Comparison indicated a close match in the 3 systems in terms of policies and procedures; including the procurement cycle; e-procurement applications; the use of standard contracts, etc.; with only a few non-essential differences related to the particularity of the location.
