Child abuse will not be tolerated –Interior Minister

The child Noof, victim of child abuse should be a concern for creating more family awareness regarding the matter, according to the ministry of interior.

The Ministry considered the bad treatment received by the child from her father’s wife (mother in law) reflects the importance of crating family awareness for some parents who believe that punishment is one of the good means to rearing and disciplining their children. Parents should seek the proper advice and counseling from the social support centers or any other concerned organizations in dealing with misbehaved children instead of resorting to punishment or child abuse.

Appreciating the kind visit of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed and his daughter Sheikh Shamma to the abused child in Al Mafraq Hospital, Major General Mohammad Al Awadi Al Minhali A/ Director General of Police Operations revealed the details of the case, expressing the transparency followed by the Ministry of Interior in dealing with the community problems. Strict action will be taken against the child abusers, he added.
