Abu Dhabi Police confiscate 22 kg of hashish in Al Shahama

Colonel Maktoum Al Sharifi, Director of CID at ADP, stated that the men of his department foiled smuggling of 22.5 kg of hashish hidden in a suitcase and confiscated the contraband item.

The operation took place at Al Shahama. The market value of the seized drugs was Dh 225 thousand.

Lt. Colonel Sultan Suaih Al Darmaki, Head of Drugs Enforcement Section stated that they received a tip off about the suspect identified as Kh. E. T (32 years). Police men stormed his vehicle and seized the suitcase containing the drugs. During interrogation the suspect confessed to his possession of the drugs, but he denied selling them. Al Sharifi urged community members to report any suspected behavior.
