AD Police seize 86 kg of Hashish
Abu Dhabi police have seized a shipment of 86kg of hashish in a cross boarder haul the first of its kind in the emirate The Arab truck drivers were caught red-handed for possessing the contraband and investigations have revealed that they indented to smuggle it by hiding it in the extra tires of another truck.
Colonel Maktoum Al Sharaifi, director of the criminal investigation department said the operation was the first transnational act to be intercepted by Abu Dhabi police. The partner of the ring leader and his assistant both gulf nationals were arrested during the top secret operation coordinated by their counterparts in the gulf country.
