with the Customs of Abu Dhabi International Airport

Abu Dhabi International Airport Customs has achieved 93% of passengers’ satisfaction in respect of their police and security services, according to selected="true" samples of the questionnaire carried out to measure excellence and service promotion indicators during the period from 16 August to 11 October this year. Large number of passengers participated in the questionnaire.

Major General Nasser bin Al Awadhi Al Minhali, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports affairs has appreciated Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) cooperation in the distribution of the electronic questionnaire, prepared by the Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The Department has monitored passengers’ satisfaction in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, represented by “Airport Customs”.

Al Minhali has also lauded ADAC for providing displays at terminals 1 and 2 of Abu Dhabi International Airport. The displays will serve all public media awareness activities implemented by MoI inside and outside the airport. ADAD also has provided computers with free internet connection for all arriving and departing passengers, to ensure as large number of participations as possible. The questionnaire consists of one question (How you can evaluate AD International Airport Customs procedures?).

Partnership between MoI and other concerned authorities contributes to delivery of services of high level, so as to achieve the citizens and residents prosperity and satisfaction, added Al Minhali.

The questionnaire achieves important scientific results to develop services to better standard and it also shows what service procedures should be developed. The questionnaire has addressed an important sector of those working at the airport, because it represents the forefront with which passengers meet and deal. Abu Dhabi as a tourist destination, its airport witnesses an increased traffic, the thing that necessitates the use of latest technologies by police in order to finalize passengers procedures. Airport staff should be characterized by proficiency and accuracy and they should be able to deal with passengers with their different cultures, traditions and languages.

In turn, Khalifa Mohammad Al Mazroui, Chairman of ADAC, has lauded the institutional partnership with MoI and ADP, appreciating MoI support to the scientific approach adopted by ADAC through preparation of questionnaires to measure performance indicators in general.

Ad International Airport is used to carry out a questionnaire every three months seeking passengers’ opinion on the airport services which include the security services. The result is forwarded to the World Airports Council in Geneva to get the results of services standard and passengers’ satisfaction.

Al Mazroui has affirmed that the Department of Ports and Airports Security and Customs have got high and increasing percentages through these questionnaires. This is a positive indicator which shows that MoI is keen to develop its security services at the airport and its continuous attempts to reach best global standards and to keep pace with expansions which the airport witnesses.

He has indicted that work at the AD International Airport requires cooperation and exchange of views. There are periodical meetings for all sectors working at the airport, including Airports and Ports Security Police Department which responds through Ports Security Inst
