“Economic Development” reviews ADP model of strategic planning
Lt. Colonel Fayssal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director of ADP Strategy and Performance Development Department have received a delegation from the Economic Development Department. The delegation is led by Akram Al Tibeishat, Acting Director of Institutional Development.
The visit is within the framework of partnerships between ADP GHQ and government institutions, to exchange expertise in strategic planning areas.
Al Shuaibi has presented a detailed explanation about the history of strategic development in ADP. Then he talked about ADP GHQ achievements, and how the ADP strategy focuses on promotion of strategic work standards and the development of institutional performance.
ADP works hard to change the stereotyped image of police through its dealings with different nationalities in the country. ADP is one of the first institutions which has introduced questionnaires methods to measure customer satisfaction.
Captain Rashid Abdullah Al Dosari, Head of Institutional Excellence Secretariat Section at the Department, delivered a detailed explanation about the organizational structure of the Section and its tasks. He also briefed the delegation on the administrative procedures that were followed to win the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award.
The change started in 2003 where ADP GHQ launched its first strategic plan. The concept of excellence and its requirements was clear from the early steps when ADP GHQ formulated its planw to win the Excellence in Government Performance Award.
The presentation has focused on the attention that ADP GHQ pays to comprehensive development projects, achievement of our high leadership vision in launching constructive initiatives on top of which is the strategic plan of Abu Dhabi Emirate, which represents cooperation between government departments in the Emirate.
At the end of the visit Lt. Colonel Al Shuaibi has presented a memento to the visiting delegation. The Head of the Delegation has expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality and said “We have selected="true" ADP for review due to its excellent reputation and for winning the first place in excellence’. He wished ADP GHQ every success.
The visiting delegation comprised: Abdul Aziz Al Harthi, Head of programming Section, Wadhah Al Himyari, Institutional Development Analyst, Kindah Al Udwan, Institutional Development Analyst, Huda Al Mareekhi, Projects Coordinator, Reem Al Breiki, Electronic Service officer and Abeer Al Wahdi, Services officer.
1st Lt. Mohammad Al Dhahri, 1st Lt. Ali Al Nuaimi, 1st Lt. Obeid Al Rumaithi, 1st Lt. Huda Al Muaini and Strategic Expert Jim Ferfil, were present from Strategy Department.
