Saif bin Zayed launches customer service charter of MoI

Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior launched on Sunday the customer service charter of the Interior Ministry.

The charter is part of the ministry’s endeavor to provide high quality services to the customers with the aim of achievement of trust and customer satisfaction, thus translating into practice the UAE Vision 2021 and its focus on providing outstanding public service for clients.

Sheikh Saif said that the idea of the charter was inspired by the recent launching of the integrated Customer Service Charter by Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as part of the UAE Government Excellence Programme, aimed at raising standards and competitiveness to match international public service norms.

The Charter makes it mandatory on the ministry to provide the requirements of each service and specify dates of delivery, as well as speed of response to requests from clients.

It also envisages to reduce the number of procedures to ensure the provision of smooth and accurate services, to set convenient timings and to accept opinions and proposals to develop services as quickly as possible, said Major General Nasser Al Nuaimi Lekhrebani, the secretary-general for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

He explained that the project aims to enhance the development of reception desks and standardization of form and color, as well as training the employees in their skills to deal with the clients.
